Friends of the Cuba Library, Inc.

Friends of the Cuba Library, Inc. (Friends) incorporated as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit in October of 2016. As a non-profit, Friends is committed to promoting the mission of the Cuba Circulating Library (Library), to raising money to provide financial support for Library programs and services, to advocating for the library, and to recognizing service contributions of library staff and volunteers.

Friends actively support children’s programming, including regularly scheduled story hours and classes, special events and guests, a book club at the middle-high school, and summer reading programs.  Adult programming benefits from Friends’ funding with sponsorship of special programs, such as the Spring Tea, and guest presenters, such as local artists and authors. Friends also contribute to improvements to the building and amenities, such as funding the purchase of new appliances and a faucet in the kitchen, and contributing to the purchase of the new fish tank and the ADA accessible tree play structure in the youth area.
